An unlocked iPhone/iPad allows you to use eSIM profiles from any provider like eSIMania. Here's how to check your device status:
- Open Settings β General β About
- Look for Carrier Lock or Network Provider Lock
- Check the status:
- No SIM restrictions = Unlocked
- SIM locked = Restricted to original carrier
If your device is locked:
Contact your original carrier and request unlocking using your IMEI (find it in Settings β General β About or dial *#06#). Most carriers unlock devices automatically within 24-72 hours.
